Guerrilla is looking for a Writer for one of its upcoming games. As the successful candidate, you will become part of the team and work on-site with the game director and designers to craft a compelling, original story that keeps players invested until the very end. In addition, you will write dialogue and background stories for the characters, create screenplays for in-game cinematics, and maintain a story bible for the game world. You will also collaborate with the audio team on voice recording sessions, reviewing audition materials and helping pick takes.

What Could Sony Be Announcing At PLAYstation Meeting 2013?

The Last Guardian Officially Canceled

Instead of revealing something new, what if Sony spelled out what isn't going to be part of the PlayStation's future by confirming that yes, The Last Guardian has finally been put out to pasture. Kaz Hirai is seen crying on stage alongside Shuhei Yoshida who shares with the audience how much money they've wasted on a project that will never see the light of day. The lights then suddenly go dark and the game's giant creature is projected on the screen. The crowd applauds thinking it was all just a joke, only to have their hopes shattered when Kratos appears on screen and decapitates the beast. Everyone is horrified.

Top 5 PS3 exclusive games

5) Heavy Rain

It’s got big flaws, but you can’t fault the pure ambition in David Cage’s unique interactive movie. A deeply involving story with a huge amount of variables depending on player actions, playing through Heavy Rain is an experience more emotionally touching than practically any other game. There are some huge plot wholes (they never do explain why Ethan keeps passing out) but the game is just so good as you are playing it that you can forgive these problems. Quantic Dream are currently making Beyond, similar in style but with a more supernatural story and starring Ellen Page! More Heavy Rain + Ellen Page = happy faces in the Play office.

4) Metal Gear Solid 4

It might not be the best Metal Gear Solid game, but it’s still better than 95% of everything else. MGS4 wraps up the crazy story of Solid Snake, Big Boss, Raiden, Otacon, Revolver Ocelot and everyone else with a daft name in the most epic of ways. It might be nonsense to everyone else, but for fans of the series MGS4 is a highly emotional ending to a saga they’ve followed for several years. Gameplay is streamlined stealth action in a way only Kojima can seem to nail, and the cut-scenes are as cinematic and entertaining as ever. Which is good, considering there’s bloody loads of them. This isn’t the last we’ve seen of Metal Gear, but it might be the last we see of Solid Snake. For that, it’s essential.

3) Demon’s Souls

Sequel and official best game of the generation Dark Souls was multiplatform, but the only place to play predecessor Demon’s Souls is right here, on PS3! You know what to expect – a rock-hard but never unfair action-RPG, adventuring through a bleak world with little respite or explanation. Everything people love about Dark Souls found it’s footing here, from the idiosyncratic online elements to the marvelously responsive combat mechanics. The world is dark and mysterious and exploring it is a chore, while finally killing enormous bosses grants a sense of achievement unlike anything else (except Dark Souls!) Demon’s Souls is now available to download directly from PSN, so if you haven’t played it yet, there is no excuse.

2) Uncharted 2

Naughty Dog may be the best thing that ever happened to the PlayStation brand, providing incredible exclusives ever since the first Crash Bandicoot. The Uncharted series has been one of the high points of owning a PS3, and number 2 is the greatest entry of a great franchise. Following smooth adventurer-extraordinaire (and totally not an Indiana Jones rip-off) Nathan Drake as he searches for the mythical city of Shambhala, Uncharted 2 took the action-adventure gameplay of the first game and perfected it. Some of the set-pieces were truly stunning – who can forget the destroyed train teetering on the edge of a cliff, near the start? Besides the wonderful campaign, Uncharted 2 added a surprisingly good multiplayer mode which gave even more bang for your buck. Essential.

1) Valkyria Chronicles
That’s right. As far as we are concerned, Valkryia Chronicles is the best PS3-exclusive game in the world. A tactical RPG set in a fictionalized version of WW2-era Europe, VC is criminally under-appreciated. Some of the most beautiful graphics you’ve ever seen evoke a storybook style, cross-shading and bright colours making everything look pencil-drawn. Don’t let the whimsical look fool you however, this is a game with some difficulty behind it. Good strategy is a necessity to make it through some of the tough battles lying ahead of you and your squad. Your team is made up of hand-picked members from a large pool, each with their own personalities and strengths. You become attached to these guys, but when they die, they are gone for good. War is hell, right? It’s hard to stress just how wonderful Valkryia Chronicles is in writing, as it’s one of those games that simply needs to be played for the unique charm and compulsive battles to really come across. Almost five years since it’s release, no other PS3-exclusive game has managed to trump it. Buy it now, please!

pd:

Epic, Square Enix, Hideo Kojima y Ubisoft podrián mostrar material./
