From what you've said its rear yet common issue, i'm pretty sure you BD drive is busted, try putting in and audio or Data Cd and see if it reads them? Dont worry, call sony and you will have a replacement in no time! simple as that.

Este canadiense usa la expresion "no time" para definir el tiempo en que te devuelven la ps3.Yo cambiaria la N de NO por una L y añadiria NG al final...

my ps3 stopped reading disks as well and I phoned up sony and they asked for the serial number and then they sent me a a box to put in my broken ps3 and and a new ps3. (same delivery)

Segun este ingles con el numero de serie ya hay suficiente no tienes que enviarles la prueba de compra...????En otros posts lo corrobora...

yes I registered my ps3 but I still didn't need a receipt even though I had one all they asked for was when you brought it and the serial number (it was a 40GB version and the replaced one was a 60GB version lucky I know )

El mismo amigo ingles nos dice que con el numero de serie y el lugar donde la compro ya hay suficiente....Ademas por si fuera poco nos dice que se equivocaron y le enviaron una de 60gb en lugar de una como la suya de 40gb.Como la de 60 sea la mia estas muerto coleguilla...

Best Buy? Did you not contact sonys technical support directly? Thats what I did when I got a disk reading failure,they had another 60 gig couiered to me in under 48hours, ive saved the number on my phone just in case!
